April 14, 2022 - April 2022 -I agree with the previous reviewer. I also was surprised to find this bottle delectable. I did not find any notes of oak but there were plum and hints of blackberry. It was very smooth, a touch of dryness but not acidic. definitely not fruit forward. It finished quickly but then did not feel watered out. it was surprising how quickly the top notes changed (within 20 minutes) and then unchanged over an hour. It definitely lost its prime as raisins notes were present but mild. I am interested in how my last two bottles will perform in the coming years.

November 21, 2020 - I was the last review on this wine and just had another bottle. Very surprised to say it's aging well ! Pleasant nose of dark fruits, with some plum and cassis elements backed by an almost too noticeable backbone of oak. Tannins soft (were probably such to begin with). But nice depth on the finish, some earthy charcoal notes that round it out nicely. Excellent value for the money. Don't think it gets better but in the supermarket genre, this wine performs - well made, some complexity, held up well over the course of the evening. Would be interested to take blind.

March 2, 2019 - This is a higher end supermarket wine that impressed me when I had it many years ago so I thought I'd buy some and see how it might age. The verdict: not too bad! Still has a nice medium dark color. On the nose you get some slightly faded elements of blackberry, sandalwood and black currant. Still has some residual tannins which hold everything nicely together but acidity is way higher than it would be for an elite wine. Still, the fruit selection that went into this bottle was surprisingly decent given the price point (~$20?). Acidity too high on the finish, but overall a pleasant, interesting experience. Not sure it's age worthy but a nice bottle overall, and one with which to perhaps fool you friends on a blind tasting.

January 9, 2016 - More in line with previous notes - solid everyday Cab.

December 5, 2015 - Surprisingly good - has really blossomed since last tasting. At this point, excellent QVR basic cab. Full bodied.
