  October 24, 2015 - Aromas of chocolate, sandalwood and black fruit. Again, fairly high acid on the palate. Firm, with dark fruit and pepper qualities. No guess.

  February 10, 2015 - Amazing! Still a deep, almost opaque garnet color, lovely complex fruit, floral and herbal bouquet, and rich, deep, complex flavors with a core of spicy dark red fruit (raspberries, blackberries, blueberries), with spices and herbs (thyme, tarragon? green grassy herbs, for sure). Medium to full-bodied, silky texture, balanced acidity and a long, persistent finish. Great accompaniment to any Italian red-sauce dish.

  March 3, 2012 - Very impressed with this wine, it was great with food and had a depth to it that was quite satisfying. And great with food. There was an intriguing note of banana running through, which added to the fun. Lacking a bit of the acidity and or rusticity you might see with this varietal in its native country, but I think this is a great interpretation.
