June 5, 2017 - Probably caught this one right at its peak. Perfect balance, almost creamy texture and loads of complexity on the palate.

March 14, 2016 - Hmmmm…this is the third bottle of this I've had…the first was really angry with acidity, the second coming down with the pox….this bottle has less acidity than the first, and isn't poxed….but just doesn't have the Leflaive magic here like they do in Puligny! There is still an angular spice or acid kick in there that makes it austere…..the fruit is nice…creamy ripe pitted yellow/tropical fruits…lemon citrus…little chalk and flint strike…faint mineral funk. Not a bad wine…..would drink this any day….but for the money and name on the label, not good enough. The Bblanc blows this away, at half the price?

  • MGI Does not like this wine: flawed

    August 5, 2015 - Oxidized

January 9, 2014 - Wine tasting dinner at a friend's house. Medium yellow. Nose of white fruits, minerals and some flowers. Medium bodied, good lift. Good but not great.

April 27, 2013 - ワイン会 (ミエル、横浜市戸部): Too young. Subtle and refined use of oak over fine minerality. Never got around for the full evening. Small nose showing hints of butter and sharp acids. Down the hatch it gives an unbalanced impression from the piercing acidity of unripe grapes, M- body and non-complex aromas towards citrus and Chard fruit.
I'd never have guessed Leflaive nor the price range. There are much better white Burgs available for this kind of money. If I had any, I'd keep for quite some years and hope a lot...
