February 24, 2021 - I love this style of cab. gritty tannin, dark fruits, well integrated oak. I have always believed this is the best wine for the money in all of California and this did not disappoint. well made wine and has years ahead of it. Drink or hold. Had 2 bottles over a week, one I would give a 93+ too and last night was a bit less

April 22, 2020 - Barnyard and musty nose, nice blue and black fruit, tobacco and medium bodied with medium finish. May be past it’s peak.

February 23, 2019 - For once I followed my own advice (wait until at least late 2018), and it paid off. No signs of age in the color or on the nose and palate. Classic nose - cassis and a healthy dose of tobacco. Mostly plums on the palate, along with just a hint of tobacco. Not particularly viscous, but it came across as rich, and had a good (not great) finish. Holding up just fine (too bad it was my last bottle).

December 9, 2017 - Amazing bottle, tannins are still pretty firm even after decanting. Could last another 8-10 years. Have not had a bad bottle from him. Leather, black currant, slight euclyptus. Heavy mouth feel, long finish, pair great with meat.

October 8, 2017 - Opened and poured into Bordeaux glasses about 45 minutes before tasting, but it would probably benefit from a decant. Roughly comparable to a bottle I had 16 months ago. Plums on both the nose and the palate. Not much in the way of secondary aromas or flavors. Nose was pretty assertive, and it seems to have gained some heft and richness. Very good finish, much better than with previous bottle. No signs of age, and it's still quite tannic. Will wait until late 2018 (at least) before trying another one.
