July 7, 2023 - Medium ruby, garnet color. Slight bricking at the rim.

Scents of graphite, pine needle, and rose petal potpourri. Pure and robust fruit of black cherry and black currant. Excellent acidity backbone. Savory and saline midpalate. Earthy undertone. Very spicy and very long finish with clove and licorice.

Medium body. High acidity. Integrated silky tannin texture with mineral notes.

Strong whole-cluster (100%) influence, nicely moderated and integrated by time, leaves a unique signature in this wine.

It's in a very nice place right now. The structure is still solid.

April 3, 2023 - Started off a bit disjointed upon opening, and the fruit was candied and cloying. But, with an hour in the decanter, this really started to shine. Good balance, long finish, lovely red fruit. Happy to have another bottle.

February 10, 2022 - Everybody Likes a Good Pair... Matched 2009 and 2010 Red Burgundy (House of Nanda - Chicago IL): Served double blind alongside the 2010 in a Burgundy 09/10 tasting, I was convinced that these were village level Volnay! Ripe red fruit with a hint of candy, nicely spiced and balanced. I slightly preferred the 2010.

February 10, 2022 - Slipped the 09/10 into the end of a 09/10 Burgundy tasting, and they fooled everyone as Burgs. Hard to pick a favorite among the 09 and 10 Savoy. Nicely floral with abundant red cherry in a fresh, lively frame. The 09 might be just a hair better given its lift / precision.

December 28, 2021 - Much better than the previous bottle which may have been flawed. Mature bottle, I’d drink up next 5 years.
