October 31, 2011 - This was was Monastero's pinot nero from a 1.5 hectare site just outside of Castellina. Available only at the winery as far as we can tell, but a wonderfully balanced, gentle, almost Burgundian pinot at a bargan price. If I could find it in the US, I'd buy, buy, buy.
