December 18, 2020 - Well stored bottle with good cork. No fruit, firm tannins, pleasant, but uninteresting.

February 1, 2020 - First of six bottles.
    Not decanted.
Very deep color for an aged Barolo.
I understand this is supposedly cask aged, but it most certainly comes across as a modern style bigger, softer Barolo.
Quite soft with little tannin presence. The fruit and alcohol mask the distinctive characteristics that I look for in an aged Barolo: very little in the way of earthy, iron, roses department, a bit plump for an aged Barolo. I don't believe it will shed its "babyfat" for deeper, more interesting aromas.
Surely a pleasant dinner wine, but not really what I was looking for.

September 27, 2018 - This is a great wine, drinking quite approachable for a Barolo of this age. Raspberry, red currant, slate, underbrush, musk rose, lavender. Beautiful aromatics. Flavors tend towards red and purple fruits with notes of raspberry, licorice, and forest floor. The balance is still a bit towards tannin but the fruit and acidity are prominent. Should age further effortlessly. Surpisingly solid call by Suckling.

August 16, 2017 - Bright red fruit, saddle leather, red currant and pomegranate notes. Asian spices, ponzu, sage with integrated tannins. Drinking beautifully and will for likely another 10 years. Slight hint of an amber edge but incredibly bright and youthful on the palate. One of the better Barolos we've had in a while. Very excited about this wine!

January 13, 2014 - Excellent wine! Pouring I was little concerned as it had a bit of an orange tint, but the aromas jumped from the glass - very floral and great fragrance. Fruit is there but has clearly integrated. Mushroom, earth, tar, very rustic. Tannins were firm, and mouth puckering at times, but added to the long finish. In a great spot now, but has years of life. Wish I had more!
