May 30, 2016 - Clear, deep garnet with slight rim browning. Thyme, toasted oak, vanilla, eucalyptus. Very low acids, medium to low tannins. Blackberry, plum. Medium to long balanced finish. Decanted the bottle, which was in my cellar for six years. Loaded with fine sediment.

April 5, 2013 - Nose is blueberry and cassis. Flavors of ripe blackberry, coffee and chocolate. Beautiful finish.

December 26, 2011 - We had this at a friends “after Christmas” dinner on 12/26/11. It had a ripe, fragrant bouquet of plum, smoked meat, blackberry, burnt toast, licorice and spice aromas. The palate seemed a little thin (perhaps because it was tasted immediately after two very nice bottles of Amarone) with flavors of plum, blackberry, blueberry, licorice and spice. 90+
