July 31, 2022 - On it's downslide. Golden-amber, pleasant nose of lightly caramelized white peaches & unripe apricots . Palate was less expressive but showed no ox, just light residual fruit and secondary flavors. Short 15 sec finish. Drink now. Went nicely with the lesser spicy Thai dishes from a very spicy Thai street food spot.

July 9, 2016 - Cellar raiding at Jeff's: Others disagreed, but I wasn't a huge fan of this - found it overly ripe and showing a lot of botrytis, even though it came across very dry. The aromatics show a lot of honeyed and spicy notes along with apricot and peachy fruit, but the fruit flavours here also feel somewhat dried, and it doesn't show any of that smoky/savoury complexity I expect from Rangen.

April 1, 2016 - Deep bronze, a scary color to see in a non-SGN/VT Riesling but despite looking and smelling like late harvest Riesling (pure apricot), it's still reasonably fresh, dry, and detailed with minerally acid and sweet flowers. Starts rich on the palate but ends with cut and dryness, and little bit of hydrocarbon, honey, and more apricot. Good, probably a lot better for Rieslingheads.

November 18, 2013 - I can't truly score this wine because its different than any other riesling I've had. Amber in color, there were some wine diamonds on the cork. Serious nose of white florals, but mixed in with some vanilla and some tropical fruits that are a touch muted. Dry as a bone, but packed with mineral and key lime acid backbone, the fruit is really subdued but I think I can make out some persimmon and a touch of caramel. This would be much different is there was a touch of sweetness, but this is bone dry but the mouthfeel is full and acidic. The acids stay with you for some time. This would really be good with spicy food.
