August 29, 2011 - This wine came out of the bottle oddly effervescent. The effervescence completely dissipated in the glass after sitting about 10 minutes, leaving behind a tannic, robust, rich wine. Notes of leather, tobacco, and cassis abound. I would recommend decanting this and letting it breathe for at least an hour before consuming.

July 5, 2011 - Nice and fruity with some spice, unbalanced acidity.
