Community Tasting Notes 9

November 23, 2017 - A nice yellow coloring. A bit off-putting and acidic when first poured but faded quickly. A nice hint of citrus, notes of caramel along with some crisp, petrol notes. The wine has put on weight with time and was both very smooth and drinkable. (last bottle unfortunately).

April 10, 2017 - Loved this. Drank great with about 30 minutes to open up. Fruit, crushed nuts, mineral, baking spice, a little honeyed finish. Everything in perfect harmony. I hear Bernie isn't a fan of his whites, but I sure am!
*note: the oak has integrated very nicely at this point.

December 24, 2015 - Last tasted about two years ago. Still a relatively tightly wound beast. Yellow fruit and petrol dominate. Nose is reticent. Very Puligny but so so linear at this point in its development. Hold. Decanted and then tasted over two days. Third bottle from a six pack

November 10, 2014 - This took about a full 48 hours to open up. Days 1-2 -- muted nose and palate, dumb and closed despite decanting. Tonight -- day 3 -- while the nose is still subdued with aromas of yellow orchard fruit, on the palate there are white flowers, white stone fruit, stone, and hints of kerosine. Mineral. Certainly Puligny, just stoic and austere and stubborn. Second bottle from a 6 pack, I'll likely try again in a year or two, but this clearly needs time. Serious juice.

December 2, 2013 - A nice medium straw/yellow coloring. Initial aromas of orange zest and ginger, followed by a hint of butterscotch and some hidden vanilla lurking. Neither heavy nor light, held together during dinner!
