October 27, 2023 - Burgundy Wimps 2023 - Hôtel Frédéric Carrion table (La Trompette): A little bit loose and volatile on the nose, with the red fruit notes verging on kirsch. Initial impression upon drinking was of greenish tannins that wanted some food. Darker fruit on the palate, a hint of gravy, but also delicate and woody. Some loved this wine's old-fashioned character, but I preferred the 2007.

March 20, 2020 - The Last Chance Saloon: Pretty musty at the beginning - TCA? Ultimately it blew off, so we concluded it wasn't. An appealing strawberry-tinged sweetness to this wine once the mist had parted, but lacked the stature expected from Chambertin.
