Community Tasting Notes 10

December 19, 2015 - Definitely is well aged at this point with not a lot of fruit left but some nice leathery flavors. If you got 'em still, drink them right now!

March 23, 2014 - Ok, so this bottle is past it's prime. The nose was still pretty good. The tasting was a bit different though. After an initial sip "right after opening the bottle" the wine seemed a bit harsh and it was apparent that it needed to breath. After leaving the glass for about 1/2 hour the flavours started to come together and the harshness subsided. The wine was pretty good. Something that would pair nicely with pasta or beef. It's a stronger dry wine that needs something with a pretty strong flavour to compete with it.
The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, black currant (cassis), alcohol/hot and mint. It tastes like blackberry, prune, petrol, mushroom, black pepper, stoniness, meaty, alcohol/hot and barnyard. The body is full. The wine has coarse texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

April 4, 2011 - At the end of its days as a mid quality "super tuscan" from a poor vintage
