  March 1, 2024 - Kräftiges Gelb. Würzige Nase, Trockenkräuter und Honignoten, reife Birne, Mirabellen, Apfel auch nussige Noten, Mandellikör, top komplex. Im Gaumen rund, weich, mild, ein Wein mit Körper und Schmelz, faszinierende Aromatik, milde Säure, der Wein hat Speck auf den Rippen, doch trotz der Opulenz ist hier viel Eleganz mit im Spiel. Der Abgang ist langanhaltend, fruchtig und wunderbar würzig, Honigaromen und florale Töne hallen minutenlang nach. Grosses Rhone-Kino, wenn man säurearme, hocharomatische Weine sucht. Jetzt bis 2030+ geniessen. 96 vvPunkte

  February 28, 2024 - On a toujours un peu peur, avec cette cuvée, de tomber sur un vin fatigué, un peu oxydé… Ayant mal vieilli.
  Ni le doute que celui-ci fut d’emblée rassurant avec une teinte dorée sans excès et un Nez ne et parfumé.
  , de prime abord très porté sur la truffe (signe de réduction?). Puis, sans en faire des tonnes, il offrait en finesse, les arômes floraux et d’abricots,de citron confit et d’épices, et les champignons en retrait. Avec l’air, il gagnait en parfums chaud d’ambre, en volutes sensuelles.
  Pas aussi gras qu’attendu, il prodiguait plutôt un bel équilibre, entre rondeur et tension, sans lourdeur aucune, campé sur une belle longueur. Beau vin!

  January 14, 2024 - Consumed my last bottle - still drinking very well with notes of green apple, honeysuckle, pear with hint of minerals. Very well balanced with perfect acidity and great mouthfeel. Paired with baked stuffed shrimp.

  December 27, 2023 - Full bodied and concentrated with caramel, oak and ripe fruits. Apricots and honey. Ok acidity, but in fact this wine was too old already. This must be an off bottle, because 2 days before I drank the basic white from Beaucastel, also from 2009 and that wine was beautiful, completely fresh and not a bit too old.

  October 11, 2023 - Superbly complete and huge with ripe yellow fruit, salinity, apricot, melon, honey and orchard floral notes. Composed, detailed, fine with great drive. 95+
