January 1, 2023 - Over the hill. A dark nose, coke and licorice dominate it. Some walnuts. Mellowing but still powerful, full-bodied, massive tannins make it rustic. Drink up ASAP.

December 12, 2020 - Vegetal nose at first, but much more interesting palate. Opened up quickly to ephemeral cherry, anise, and glove. Pleasant drinking. Possibly past peak.

March 3, 2018 - Tasted blind. Currant aromas, a little exotic, iron, plum. Highly structured, a bit stern but I like it. Cola notes emerge in the mid palate. Herbal finish. There is definitely an Italian vibe here, either Tuscany or Campania.
