September 26, 2021 - A bit disappointed, as Wine Spectator had promised an "exotic red." Everything is correct, nice balance, smooth and rich. But still, a bit simple. Not as much on the nose or palate as I'd expect from a wine of this level.
Decanted 1.5 hours, had with pork chops and a medley of vegetables. -

January 2, 2021 - In a great place now- with lamb shoulder a nice example of a classic Beaune Côte d’Or. I think this was a steal at my purchase price of $50. Medium bodied 13.5% alcohol and nice subtle cherry flavor and a hint of smoke in the nose

November 25, 2020 - Clear, medium garnet. Aromatic nose of ripe cherry, mushrooms, smoke. Medium body, medium+ acidity, smooth tanins. Taste of cherries and blackberries. Mineral in the end. In good spot now.
