September 9, 2023 - A private lunch (Restaurant Wils *, Amsterdam, NL): Brief decant, opens up very well in the glass. Beautifully developed nose, lively and clear expression, minerally and fresh, red and blue berries, orange zest, warm spices and red meat; clear and bright palate, savoury and peppery, (still) youthfully energetic, elegant, violets, medium body, firm but fine tannins; very good resonance and length, hints of roses, orange, peaches and cream. A very fine bottle.

August 29, 2023 - First bottle from a case in professional storage until recently. Long decant and then retasted after 24 hours. Youthful colour.
Wonderful nose of syrah. On palate wonderful fruit but young still; tannins prominent still. Will revisit in 5 years!

June 18, 2023 - You'd think I'd have learned my lesson about Cornas with a little age on it - and the lesson is to give it 2-3 hours before drinking it. This was great after 30 minutes and we powered through it with a meat and mushroom sauce spaghetti. And the last sips - 3 hours after opening the bottle, it was JUST THEN starting to really open up. I hate me sometimes. Friends, give it some time before diving in. This is really good.

April 16, 2023 - 90 minutes slow ox. The wine continued to get bigger and smoother thereafter. A wonder balance of ripe red and black fruits with very nice touches of spice, dried herbs and some sweet Oak. A well done wine that has another 5 years of peak window to it.
