December 7, 2010 - Wonderful chardonnay, and there's no need to add "for the price," which is very reasonable. A very clear expression of the Maconnais fruit, pleasantly cleansing acid up front immediately enveloped in a voluptuous, pearlescent, round mouthfeel. Redolent with flowers and soft, aromatic fruits - citrus, melon - and stands long and balanced with a firm, mineral, closing edge. A really nice wine. They really took care to get out of the way, and let this grape, and its origin, speak. Will drink warmer throughout the next couple of hours; sorry to only have the one this evening.
