September 20, 2013 - Flight 4, Alsace, Wine 2 (blind): The wine was bright, dark lemon in colour and offered an expressive nose of peach, apricot, lemon, some apple, mineral notes, petrol, a mild botrytis touch as well as first signs of bottle age. On the expressive palate the wine showed peach, apricot, apple, lemon, unripe pineapple and some mineral notes, paired with high racy acidity and very good length. The acidity seemed slightly bitter and a little out of balance. Drink now and over the next four years.

January 26, 2013 - Bright yellow in glass. Nose of slight tropical fruit, touch of lime and minerals. Light bodied. Quite austere and doesnt give up much on the palate. Slight tropical fruits with a little lime. The acid is a touch overbearing at the moment and may require time. This wine may soften with time.
