September 24, 2014 - Open for one hour prior to consuming. The age has mellowed the alcohol (15.8%). The wine is very balanced and smooth. Time to drink up. Enjoyed this with Italian food.

September 8, 2013 - Red berries on steroids! Very tasty and very big and bold, with a velvety texture and lots of palate weight.

Tasted non blind.
Dark garnet to purple color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of melted black licorice, pepper and plum. Flavors of currants, berries and cherries. Medium acidity, medium to firm tannins, medium to full bodied. Drink over the short to medium term. -

May 3, 2012 - Very good, but not as stunning as previous bottles. Can't say why exactly, except it seemed as though it lost some of that balance between the elements.
