Community Tasting Notes 60

November 6, 2023 - Really in a good place. Mature yet fresh and delightful mix of fruit, and mature notes of forest floor, herbs, spice, orange peel, vanilla ……. A nice streak of acid keeps it refreshing and youthful.

Punching well above its weight and a reminder that Givry has fantastic terroir and vignerons. Bravo!

89 pts

February 11, 2022 - No detailed notes. The cork broke, so the wine was decanted. I recall a deep but not opaque garnet color. The nose effusive and laden with fruit and earth. On the palate I recall it being beautifully balanced and quite classy. I also recall thinking it was quite ripe, almost too much so, but still retained a nice acid/fruit balance. Purchased on release and stored in my cellar since.

January 30, 2022 - Just in the right spot. Complex note with low forest, red fruit and blood orange. Excellent balance in the mouth with fruit and a delicious acidity with a spiced finish. Superb little bottle of Burgundy.
