December 27, 2023 - Right out of the 12 degree cellar this had chokingly dry tannin. I let it warm in the decanter for an hour and things got better balanced... rich, liqueur nose with some tar. Medium bodied, pretty and just beginning to mature.

December 5, 2020 - Dark plummy nose with some alcohol and a dark fruit liqueur. In the mouth the fruit is dark, concentrated and ripe: some licorice. The fruit is a match for the tannin. this is quite powerful and balanced at the same time. The future shines bright for this star.

July 7, 2020 - Cork is sound and properly stuck. Dark red with brick edge. Nose is licorice, tar, cherry. The palate is dense with sweet dark fruit and licorice, a drying finish, cinammon. Very good, but at quite a price.

January 6, 2020 - grippy tannins lots of red fruit, mild nose not quite having developed that trademark aged nebiollo perfume . Should have let it sit longer!

September 5, 2017 - Cork is slightly protruding and pulls out very easily whereupon I note the cork is far from cylindrical! Not a big but a detailed nose - cherry, caramel, flowers, pip. Full body, licorice, floral with fine and strong tannin. Very good length.
This wine will age although I am concerned about one other bottle of my 4 bottle purchase which also has a protruding cork.
