January 9, 2019 - Taken on a bit more character since we last had this in 2015 but still youthful fruit. This is graves-like with lots of earth and gravel and a bit of tobacco. Certainly lean and savoury but good and approachable too.

December 3, 2018 - Close to mature, the mid-weight wine offers secondary, tobacco, cedar and leafy notes along with bright, fresh red berries and tobacco. You can drink this now and over the next 6-8 years.

September 26, 2017 - Not quite as good as the last one, it's starting to wane, but still a very fine effort. The fruit is still there but there are hints of cranberry creeping in. The chalky chunkiness has gone, to be replaced by a rather elegant backbone which frames the fruit well. So still enjoyable but it does need drinking in the next two years.

April 30, 2017 - Diep bruin rode kleur, dikke concentratie. In de neus, laurier, drop, zwart bramen fruit, zwarte bes & cederhout. Zuren medium, tannine medium, lange afdronk waarin laurier & drop de boventoon voeren.

April 21, 2017 - Solbær, blyantspiss, litt eucalyptus og paprika. Lang, medium pluss fyldighet og bra balanse. En anelse bitter.

(Chateau Belgrave Haut-Médoc) Attractive blackcurrant fruits on the nose, sweet and slightly herby, although overall it is not hugely expressive. A nicely structured palate though, with dry and peppery tannins. There isn't a lot of concentration here, and the palate leads through to a firm tannic finish with lots of extract. There isn't a lot of flattering texture here. Rather straightforward.
