Community Tasting Notes 2

February 5, 2012 - Quite advanced - mature nose of leather and stewed fruits. Interestingly, on day 2, this seemed much frersher, some cherry coming through, seems to be getting younger. Initially I thought this may have been too advanced, but now I am not so sure.

August 28, 2011 - Restrained and elegant on the nose, it nonetheless delivers a powerful palate with Barbera's typical acidity that makes this wine a good choice to pair with spicy meals, such as tonight's Mexican dishes including refried beans and jalapeƱos. The acidity is high, so the wine requires food (and strong food, actually), but in that context it is very good. Drink now.
