July 10, 2014 - The cork was almost fully soaked yet the wine was in perfect condition. No initial funk this time, and the nose readily revealed lovely pinosity aromas of strawberry, raspberry, forrest floor and spice. Medium-bodied and perfectly round, yet there is enough freshness and structure here to provide further aging potential. Soft tannins, balancing acidity and a long aftertaste. Consistantly a solid performer.

April 27, 2014 - Fully mature at this stage. Fairly dark garnet. Expressive nose with indian spices, red cherry, strawberry and undergrowth. Medium-bodied with very soft tannins and bright acidity. The fruit is quite evolved but still alive. Medium to long aftertaste. Elegant, food-friendly and not as excessively herbal as most kiwi pinots.

March 15, 2014 - This is very good now. Typical NZ Pinot, still lots of red fruit - including some pleasent watermelon and rubarb. Nose is getting close to real Burgundy. Good signs of age with hints of chocolate, coffee and herbs.

May 4, 2013 - Lovely overseas pinot. Lots of red berries and some rhubarb in the nose.
