May 27, 2023 - 1hr+ decant. Not sure if it needed more or was over the hill. Dark red color. Tough to write a note as this changed so much over the following hour. Medicinal tones with cherries and subtle vanilla. Medium minus finish. Might be in an odd phase? Confused!

December 16, 2022 - Great wine, popped and poured with an aerator. Tannins were resolved, nice cherry flavor and fantastic aroma.

December 22, 2021 - It is hard to find a wine that truly appeals to Becca (very fruit forward and jammy) and I (structured with a firm tannic backbone when young). In its youth, I would imagine that this had considerable tannins that likely dominated the dark fruits.
Now, a wine whose tannins have all integrated with retained acidity and a wonderful mouthful of black and blue fruits and a long, supple finish.
I have been sitting on this for years and feel rewarded for doing so. I have 1 more and could drink anytime in the next 10 years -

July 30, 2021 - This is drinking very well right now. I’m not sure if it will get much better, but I think it has a long time left so drink or hold for possible emergence of tertiary elements. Plenty of structure remaining but well balanced against red and blue fruit and a long finish. Very clean — no decant needed for sediment, but it could still benefit from a couple hours of air.
