November 24, 2013 - Nice Burgundian style, lots of earth, funk, balance, and complexity. Anthesis of the big fruit forward CA style.

November 9, 2013 - Held up well even after a week of half the bottle being under nitrogen. Good fruit and acid, really enjoyable.

August 18, 2013 - Love this, just goes to show you can't lump all wines into a generally agreed poor vintage. Turns out 2007 was great in the right hands. Lovely medium-light cherry color. Nose is forest floor, the pleasant earthy funk, no barnyard. Round mouthfeel, dried cherries and traces of noticeable alcohol. But lasting and satisfying. A sense of mint in the nose lasts. Surprisingly good for the price, but you needed patience.

February 16, 2013 - Food pairing: Herb and red chile oil marinated and roasted wild salmon; parmesan, wild mushroom risotto; roasted vegetables drizzled w/ Botte Piccola balsamic; fresh greens salad w/ roasted red pepper/green chile, gorgonzola, basil, red wine vinegar dressing. Decanted for over three hours. Terrific w/ food pairing and delicious PN that is ruby colored, and smells like cherry and strawberry. Overall taste is dried cherry and at times cherry candy with mild, dusty earthiness. Body and finish are medium with a silky mouth feel. We tasted this against a 2007 Sokol Blosser Dundee PN, which was slightly preferred although both held their own and are wonderful examples of classic Burgundian style Oregon Pinots. Still has balance and structure, but a little lighter on finish than expected.
