August 3, 2015 - wat streng, droog, mineralen, hoog in de zuren

August 4, 2012 - tense with a fresh and immediate seduction thats rather obvious. Finely salty - slender- leg-conscious- beautiful material here and great nerve. This Meursault Village was assembled from two cuvées Criots et Perchots … first one brings vinous magnification and fine clarity while the second brings salty delicate and soft, enveloping form.

February 17, 2011 - Will keep my remaining bottles for a few years. These wines are marked by the vintage acidity and its youth.

January 10, 2011 - I finished the 08 Meursault last night and I must admit that I find it somewhat difficult to compare it with the likes of Coche-Dury like some do. The 08 Meursault (as well as the 08 Bourgogne blanc) from Boisson-Vadot are very well-made wines that show a great upside potential and are very text book terroir-wise. It has a good structure and is highly drinkable already. This is unmistakingly Meursault but the important thing for me is that the butter/nutty flavours and the fatty texture derives from healthly and ripe grapes and not a result of too much new oak. Therefore, the wine also seems quite pure - which perhaps actually is worth comparing to Coche-Dury...? However, the intensity without weight and vibrant acidic electricity so typical of Coche-Dury is not found in this wine but the prices are also very different... I also quite recently had the 08 Hospice de Beaune Meursault Charmes by J.M. Boillot which was (perhaps not so surprisingly) also on a much higher level. I found it best on day three when the acidity was most present. If I can keep my hands off the remaining bottles, I think I will be pleasantly surprised in a couple of years. 90++
