Community Tasting Notes 1

October 19, 2011 - Let's be sure: the last no's in the barcode are 000148. Decanted 1 hr. ahead. Medium cherry color with a bare hint of brown. Nice musty-earthy nose, with dried oregano, cherries, cranberries, mushrooms, vanilla. Very fine on the palate, with medium body and firm acidity. Flavors across a wide array of blueberries and red fruits. Finishes quickly with no tannic grip. Things are richly balanced here: fruit and spice, acid and body. But there's a very attractive level of rusticity that makes this a really nice product. Great QPR at $18.
