July 2, 2011 - Me again.. Why is this producer so under appreciated? Beautiful Spring Mountain fruit redolent of cassis. This wine is about 17 years old and showing no signs of decline. Color is still vibrant with no bricking at all. And, TA DA ....12.7% alcohol.
I am glad I still have various vintages of this wine available (including some mags) but have been equally guilty of not purchasing for quite awhile. -

January 13, 2006 - Once again, a wonderful wine flying way under the radar. Still a beautiful dark color with no signs of aging. Beautiful, deep mountain flavors, with a cassis and mineral quality.It can certainly age further and I believe will increase in complexity. A beautiful match for dry-aged NY steaks cooked over mesquite.
