Interesting and worthy concept, but not totally convincing.

August 20, 2021 - Typical Selosse's rusted iron colour, fine bubbles and a little bit strawberry in the nose. Nice freshness, chinotto, some strawberries and ripe plum together with some aromatic herbs (for amaro or digestivo liqueur) a little tannins even! Good length!

April 19, 2021 - vintage 2005. the wine was ok (not oxidized) but it was not exactly sparkling, the nose was rather closed.
Beside that I´ve found delicious red berry fruits inside and a nice freshness.

November 27, 2020 - A rather interesting tasting; something about this wine is a bit destabilizing and unexpected, which ultimately lends to its charm. It took a moment to put my finger on a couple of the aromas & flavors that I experienced. Personally, I rather enjoyed it but I am not convinced that it would go over well with everyone and anyone.

    APPEARANCE:
    Color & intensity: pale salmon

    NOSE:
    Intensity: medium (+)
Aromas: forest strawberry, bread dough, blood orange, sea breeze, hint of crushed stone
    Development: developing

    PALATE:
    Sweetness: dry
    Acidity: medium
    Alcohol : medium
    Body: medium (+)
    Mousse: delicate
    Intensity: medium (+)
Flavors: strawberry, blood orange, bread dough, lemon zest, crushed stone, bitter almond
    Finish: long

    CONCLUSIONS:
    Quality level: very good
Potential for ageing: can drink now, but has potential for further cellaring

August 1, 2019 - This is a rather pale rosé. The nose is quite striking, and I struggle to describe it... perhaps unripe white stone fruit. It's certainly not sweet.

On the palate, this follows through in the form of a sort of bitter (rather than acid) fruitiness with quite a lingering finish. The mouthfeel is quite rich for a fizz.

As it warms a little I find the bitter aspect a bit prominent, so I feel this needs to be kept quite cool. Then it's rather interesting, although probably not a crowd-pleaser. It's certainly on a par with lesser champagnes, and OK QPR at US$22.
