December 14, 2022 - Brief impressions from memory.
Shows ripeness of the vintage while retaining good balance throughout.
Dark cherry, black raspberry, spice, purple flowers on the nose and same on the palate. Despite density, quite a good lift, medium acidity, minerally finish. A very good wine and def a crowd pleaser

March 6, 2020 - Zachy's La Paulee 2020; 3/5/2020-3/6/2020 (Le Bernardin Prive): Nose has a very pretty hue, extracted red fruit, medical on the palate. 92

March 5, 2020 - Pre La Paulée Zachy's BYO Dinner (Lafayette NYC): The biggest and most ripe of the vertical. Seriously dense and rich with almost Cali levels of fruitiness, yet this has that intense Griotte meat spice. Cellar for a decade+. Upside from here.

March 5, 2020 - Zachys La Paulée "Warm-up" Dinner (Lafayette - New York NY): In 03/06/07/08/09/10 vertical. Very ripe and fleshy, this starts out as opulent and flashy, but the structure emerges in the middle and keeps this in great balance. Long finish with lots of power. Better to cellar another few years.

February 21, 2020 - The wine was opulent on the nose vanilla, candied fruit, and caramalized cherry fruit. Palate had sappy pure red fruit with elegance. Certainly young but already accessible. Despite the ripe vintage, it was balanced with generous acidity. Still too young to fully show its charm.
