  December 25, 2020 - The wine was muted on nose upon opening. It took 45 mins or so to breathe in the bottle to light up. The wine has brick hue. On the nose it's the ripe jammy red fruit, exotic spice, dried dates, hints of lily, and black tea from aging. The vintage mark was clear. there is good amount of acidity in the wine to balance the very ripe fruit however that balance is a little touch and go. The wine showed tiredness after 4 hours. Once the extra depth was gone the wine was left with only over ripe juice.
  
  Ripeness aside, the wine was a little more advanced than I expected. I have questions about its longevity down the road though only time will tell. Planning to open my second and last bottle 8-10 years later.

  February 21, 2020 - Slow oxed for 8 hours before serving. Vanilla oak, violets and spice. It had the transperency but lacking the depth of Malconsorts. The vintage ripeness was noticeable but well managed. I would wait and see what it will be like in a few years instead of opening it today.
