November 17, 2017 - Rare Cote-Rotie Dinner ('91, '88, '83) (Blue Hill (NYC)): Blackberry and blueberry fruit nose. Quiet in terms of earth but very pure and clean in terms of fruit. Big tannin, relatively speaking, and another bold and deeply flavorful mouthfeel. All the Rostaings showed so young tonight.

July 29, 1989 - Tasted at a Singer & Foy survey of 1983 Rhones. Appearance is foamy; otherwise, medium ruby. The nose is good, shows licorice, but not as rich as the others in the group. Mint. In the mouth, different than the others, still very good, complex, long finish. 5–9–15–6: 85/100.
