October 28, 2012 - Interesting blend. A touch heavy on the alcohol but not too bad. Rich flavors and a little spice. Drink now.

September 5, 2012 - I really am not a fan of Zin any longer, but I have to give this wine its due. Really big on the dark and red fruits with a great acid to tannin ratio. American Oak adds some baking spices and vanilla on the mid-palate. The high ABV is quite well masked by all of the other things going on. The wine maker is an interesting character. From the Rochester, NY area and retired from the electronic biz and makes wines to enjoy his time besides bicycling around parts of the world.

November 20, 2011 - Zinfandel flavors on initial attack and then syrah flavors dominate. For those who like big full throttle wines, this puts the Prisoner to shame. Although large, it actually shows the varietal grapes. Excellent for this kind of thing.
