September 4, 2018 - This wine is all about tannin quality at this point, big black fruits with big but softened tannins make this wine an absolute addiction. Still has a ton of life ahead of it but there was so little produced it may not matter. Will hold remaining bottle for a few years.

December 22, 2016 - Smooth, still full of fruit. Wonderful.

January 9, 2016 - Opaque purple drank with a bright ruby rim. Nose of blackberry liquor and camphor earthiness. Dark fruit that's still plenty fruity with dusted top notes. There's some restrained creaminess creeping through. Thick and rich palate with smoky oak. Wish I could articulate further but that's why I drink this stuff.

January 5, 2016 - Decanted for a little more than an hour before having with grilled skirt steak, then consumed over the next 4 hours. Nose has nice dark fruit with a bit of earthiness in there. Taste is nice as well - has the dark fruit, but it is not overpowering. This is a very good Syrah - my only quibble to take it to the next level is some more complexity.

November 17, 2015 - Luscious, very elegant and smooth but still has potential to age. Still has tannins that will allow this wine to mellow in the years to come. A great wine!
