June 3, 2023 - Several months later, we tried another bottle. Did not show as well but still solid. Mid weight…reminiscent of nuits saint Georges over volnay. Certainly enjoyable with no tannins, lots of fruit, some depth but less cherries than I seek out with volnay.

November 2, 2022 - These 2009s are open and in a very good place. Good earthy red fruited aromatics, lively palate that is well balanced. No excessive ripeness or heaviness, could perhaps use a bit more acid. Still very good and great with food.

November 2, 2022 - Dinner with the wine group (O Sole Mio): Aromatic, deeper fruit, blackberry and plums, slight smoke, depth; palate is medium bodied, almost richly textured, plush, red and black fruits, balanced alcohol and acidity; medium-long finish. Lovely, with years ahead. 92

October 16, 2022 - This was a big surprise. I had low expectations after a recent champans from 2009 but this overdelivered. Beautiful nose, excellent length, resolved tannins, quite structured. My only gripe was that it lacked a sense of place. I can taste caillerets, I can taste taillepieds…but can’t really place this vineyard. That being said, this was a excellent bottle that was ready to go after 5 min with some air.
