  December 3, 2017 - Gorgeous Northern Rhone nose of smoked meats and fire pit. Really delicious wine with a classic meaty, savory texture and flavors of smoky dark fruits, charcoal and a lovely floral element. Good acidity and a bit high-toned but it’s not excessive at all. Finishes with a lash of graphite minerals and smoky spices and really floats over the tongue with savory complexity. Perfectly mature and really hard to stop drinking. At Rivermarket, Tarrytown, NY

  April 26, 2017 - Flawed wine, completely infected with that weird creamy buttery texture on the palate. Puts a real damper on the fruit.

  February 18, 2014 - This is a really elegant Cornas. Initially this was all pretty strawberry fruit but over the course of a couple of hours it tightened up and showed more earthy and peppery notes along with the bright fruit. Drinking beautifully now but there is a clear underlying smooth tannic structure that would suggest a good amount of development ahead. This is very much a Northern Rhone Syrah, but there was a kinship with a recent bottle of '96 Dujac Bonnes Mares, albeit this was more youthful. Enjoyed this very much.
