October 28, 2019 - Very good, early drinking window, flowery and elegant

October 27, 2019 - Much better showing than my last bottle which had cooked fruit and was rustic. Right off the bat this impressed with a wonderfully floral nose, red and dark fruit. Very fresh and present on the palate, no signs of the 2009 warm vintage. Very good persistence and finish. 96-97

July 24, 2019 - This RSV showed the powerful vintage. Full-bodied, intense, riper and heavier than the other Pinots that night. Still a bit muted, especially on the nose. This Pinot monster will certainly benefit from 10+ more years in the cellar. Nose 91, palate 94, overall 93 with potential for some extra points with age.

TN: Muted nose which only revealed some red fruit and savory note with a lot of swirling. More giving on the palate with dark red and red fruit, meaty notes and herbal scents. Dense, ripe and sweet. Loads of fine-grained tannins, good freshness, medium length.

Decanting: Not decanted. I would try 3-5 hours in the decanter to allow the wine to open up.

July 24, 2019 - This wine struck me as rather ripe and extracted, some cooked fruit as well, Christmas cake. An oxidative touch as well later. Not a representative bottle.
