April 21, 2024 - Dunno, I think my taste buds are dodgy at the mo. Seemed really bitter and metallic (unlike the last bottle drank in 2018). I was expecting better after another 4-5 years

December 15, 2020 - Complex nose with hints of cranberries, old wood and spice. Palate with lots of forest floor, fruit somewhat reticent. Good structure with a nice mineral backbone but neither balanced nor exciting enough to warrant GC status.

March 21, 2020 - Forest floor, spicy, hints of mushroom with ripe red fruit and black fruit. The new oak is in the foreground. Tannin is quite firm. Both stood out a bit more than integrated. Wine is quite concentrated.
Maybe aging will turn this wine back around for a smoother palate.

The oringine is distinctive. Strawberry, violet, tar and underwood. Elegant but missing length and concentration for the vintage and GC status. 91-92

July 20, 2018 - Drank a couple of weeks ago so no detail here - needed a big decant (3 hours). All I remember was wow - love it. Was big though, very complex, red fruits, wonderful fine silky tannins, great balance and young. Still approachable. leave the next for 2-5 years (5 is preferably).
