January 20, 2024 - Opened at the 4S in HK. Had been breathing for a few hours before serving. Small glass sample.

If served blind, I don't think I would have called Dujac. The stemmy, full cluster character was somewhat subdued, and it didn't have the powerful energy that I associate with Dujac, especially from a grand cru. Perhaps this had breathed a little too much, or wasn't the best example of this bottle.

That being said, this was still good though. Quite dark as you'd expect, but good spectrum of fruit coming through and long finish. Acidity and tannins well integrated. Just lacked a bit of oomph.

Would be interested in revisiting, and thanks to S for sharing!

    November 22, 2022 - Garnet red color.
Masculine aromatics, roasted meat, blackberry, rhubarb and blueberry.
In the mouth it's very acidic and medium to light bodied.

The acidity was too high on day one so I recorked it and was able to try again 6 days later. It’s much better bow, more balanced, and now with more sweet cherry, limestone, and just a little Vosne spice. Still has slightly tight tannins and medium to high acidity.

After a second taste, I increased my rating from 88 to 92. It has a lot of potential. I would recommend a decanter and some time based upon this bottle.

December 7, 2021 - A lot of tar on the nose, slightly metallic, very muscular. On the palate core of blackberry and gooseberry fruit, fairly acidic, not coming across as a hot vintage surely helped by the stems. We decanted it as it came across quite tight and the air definitely helped bring out more. Best to give this wine another 10 year though to show its best. Today it was bested by a lovely effort from CLB Colombiere 11 which was just singing.

November 30, 2021 - Not super expressive aromatically, bit shut to start. Attractive clean fruit that’s starting to mellow.

September 28, 2018 - Served blind. Pure, pretty fruit but a whole lot of oak here. Clearly young and too primary for a decent guess - guessed 09-12. This will be quite excellent, someday, when that oak integrates.
