April 17, 2024 - A lean wine best served with food. Solid for a 15 year old village Burgundy, but not a great value in the current market.

January 19, 2024 - Perfect seal on a very sound cork. Garnet colour - bright but bricking up around the edge. Nose is quite muted - earthy with a definite hint of very fresh oyster mushroom - perhaps an early autumnal vibe overall? Real purity on the palate with ripe strawberry and sour red cherry. Pronounced streak of elegant salinity with silky smooth tannins and a little green vegetal kick towards the end of a long finish. Last of a bottle of 12 and much improved on my last note 2 years ago. Looking through the notes made by myself over the past 10 years and those made by other Cellartrackers there is a clear element of bottle variation in this vintage. Fortunately this bottle is one of the blessed!

January 5, 2024 - Drunk over 2 days.Opened 1 hour before pouring.
Great colour, pure and clean;perfectly enjoyable, but it is just a village wine and better value can be had elsewhere.
I hope it has some upside with age, but I doubt it. -

September 1, 2023 - Initially got an odd smell like nail polish remover, then some red fruit and florals. Friend said it wasn’t nail polish remover but he couldn’t place it either. Concentration on the palate but no acid. This wine was dead. Somm at restaurant agreed that it was flawed and brought Dujac MSD 1er 2013 instead

September 1, 2023 - Chardonnay and Pinot Noir Wimps - Racine (La Trompette): At the risk of stating the obvious, this was a 2009 village Morey from Dujac - just as it should be. Somewhat austere but a purity there and some length. A bit lost in the company but very good for what it is.
