February 29, 2020 - Very nice bottle, age made a good job on this bottle. Great balance, very good wine

September 22, 2019 - A nice wine, but more on a par with a quality St Joseph than the quality Cote Rotie it aspires to be.

January 25, 2014 - WSET Level 3 Course - Berry Brothers & Rudd; 1/25/2014-3/22/2014 (Berry Brothers & Rudd - Basingstoke): Appearance: clear, medium(+) intensity purple. Some legs
Nose: clean, medium(+) intensity, developing, black fruit, some oak, spicy and savoury notes
Palate: dry, medium(+) acidity, medium(+) tannins, medium body, medium(+) intensity, medium finish, medium level of alcohol (13%); black fruit, spicy and savoury notes.
Overall: good balance between fruit and savoury notes; good length finish; good intensity; quite complex.
Conclusion: GOOD; developing - drink now - suitable for further ageing; premium priced (£44.00)

July 12, 2013 - Drank this in a traditional lyon restaurant, so it was popped and poured. It is still young and tight and could have done with some time in a carafe but it opened up nicely during the meal. It is smooth with lots of fruit but to be honest lacked the interest I had hoped for. Overall a solid performance and if you have some give it time to mature.
