October 2, 2021 - From a great looking bottle, this wine had a deep tan center and yellow rims. The high intensity nose blasted out caramel, sauteed cognac, honey, lemon, and raisin scents.

In the mouth, this wine was as thick as motor oil. It was rich and ripe with great acidity and very good length.

This is great fun for the end of a dinner party! It will last an eternity in the cellar.

May 31, 2015 - Tasted blind, this wine had a brown center and yellow rims. The high- nose showed brown sugar, molasses, lemons, and vanilla.

In the mouth, this wine was super rich with great balance. It was maybe the best bottle I have had of this wine.

It should be noted that these bottles tend to come out at the end of the evening which could mean my senses were somewhat dulled :>). In any event, I am game to give it another go!

May 19, 2013 - Tasted blind, this wine had a tan/brown center with light tan/yellow rims. The high intensity nose showed mocha, brown sugar, plums, and a hint of wintergreen.

In the mouth, it was thick and rich with huge weight and length. This excellent desert wine was only marred by a hint of excess alcohol.

May 20, 2012 - Tasted blind from a half bottle, this wine had a brown center and tan rims. The high intensity nose of almonds, brown sugar, maple syrup, and soil was captivating.

In the mouth, this wine is fabulously rich and thick but with great leavening acidity. It has fantastic length and complexity. My guess is if you don't like this, you may need to work on developing you hedonistic tendencies.

I have had this wines many times. Personally, I recommend opening the bottles a couple weeks in advance of drinking them.

Molto molto indietro, potenza quasi eccessiva.
