Community Tasting Notes 1

November 23, 2012 - Strong farmyard character, with strawberry liqueur, cherry and cranberry. The nose improves with time, and there are faint hints of cocoa and vanilla. The mouthfeel is light-bodied and watery, and the finish is sour and bitter. Tannins accentuate the bitterness but don't provide much structure. The only time this wine really worked for me was when it was chilled and served with turkey salad; it's a better rosé than it is a Pinot.
