  October 1, 2018 - Virginia Wine Chat (Flight - Washington, DC): Gorgeous aromatics of apricot, lemon curd, ginger, graham, sea salt, honey. Pretty and exquisite on the palate with pristine acidity and a lovely, velvety texture. Honey, almond, sea salt and ginger mix with apricot, lemon and apple fruit. This is harmonious, balanced, complex and still so youthful. A gorgeous Hardscrabble that showed wonderfully.

  April 30, 2009 - Floral with a hint of minerality on the nose, with delicate oak structure and a lemony acidity on the mid-palate. Paired with pork loin chops marinated in shallots and thyme with balsamic, the wine and food complemented each other well. This wine is ready to drink now.

  February 7, 2008 - A pale straw colored yellow suggests this wine still has life. Indeed it does. Lemon, apple and milk with a bit of a nutty finish. The acidity trails the fruit; falling off before the finish. While being perfectly adequate, it does not delight. And while it might be able to last until 2009, it would be a disservice to the wine to carry it that long. 13.3% alc. With chicken parmesan; it holds up well. Recommended with reservations.

  October 30, 2007 - This is a wonderful Burgundian style wine much like the Mearsault wines with a mineraly, chalky quality. The nose is rich with scents of wildflowers, citrus and kiwi. The taste is focused with flavors of green apple, lemon and chalky minerals.
