  May 4, 2012 - Syrupy nose with a tinge of wild berry. On open: stone fruit, structure and noticeable oak. Blind I would have guessed Nuits-Saint-Georges instead of Volnay. After some aeration, the structure and oak recede to reveal more fruit, and a more signature floral note fills the palate and hints into the nose.

  April 27, 2012 - Good drinking wine -- takes a while to open up. Good fruit, a little light, very pleasant to drink.

  January 9, 2012 - Tight at first and solid but relaxed quite a bit after an hour or so. Lovely sour cherry nose , candied notes, hint of spice and the slightest waff of mint/pine. Nice acidity - the wine dances around on the mouth and has a relatively long finish. Nice sappiness but just a bit more acidity would have knocked it out of the park - bit I guess thats a mark of the vintage..
