September 26, 2023 - Perfectly good but lacked fragrance and vitality, though not obviously decayed.

April 22, 2017 - Red berries, smoke, cherries and a hint of cured meat on the nose. Integrated but drying tannins with more red berries and medium-high acidity on the palate. Medium finish.

September 5, 2015 - Da lasciare decantare almeno 3 ore.
Naso complesso e cangiante nel tempo.
In bocca elegante ma abbastanza semplice.
Forse aperto troppo presto ma dubito una una migliore evoluzione nel tempo.

June 8, 2014 - Popped and poured. Medium ruby color. Nose of iodine, anise, red raspberry, violets, earthy smells. Young and piquant on the palate with layers of tart red cherry and raspberry driven by nice acidity and anchored in iron and earth notes. Fruit forward and just a touch blowsy but also exhibiting serious tannins. Moderately long finish of cranberry and earth. Very good for a village wine, with room to grow.

May 27, 2013 - Gorgeous Volnay perfume of spice, herbs, and red fruit. Very open on the nose and palate with good balance, energy, and poise. There's a precise structure to the wine with a purity of fruit expression that's akin to '08/'10 allowing the wine to carry its '09 ripeness quite well. Good complexity already, and one can really sense how nicely this will develop.
