  Well, fortunately, this aged pretty nicely. The dolcetto bite has completely faded to the background, and nice secondary notes are emerging, while the tannins still grip with notes of hyacinth and earth. Quite light bodied now for a dolcetto. But still holds up to food. Delicious and a happy accident.

  July 1, 2013 - This is really good and I am impressed by the balance that this wine has. The tannins are very much still alive, but the fruit is supple, and the acidity is very good in a pretty warm vintage. I would love to taste the 2010 vintage of this, but will buy more of this vintage...lovely!!

  December 15, 2012 - I'm not a big Dolcetto fan but this is a really good wine and definitely one of the better, if not the best, Dolcetto I had. Savory and earthy nose, definitely Italian, very dark fruits and a hint of ashes. Quite similar on the palate, decent acidity. Only complaint is a sensation of heat from time to time (even though this is only 13%). Nevertheless a good wine that will probably improve over the next 2 years.
