November 23, 2023 - Very enjoyable. Mature and smooth. It struck me that this would be the wine to introduce one to the delights of Barolo.

Light crust in the bottle. Mid red colour. Classic tar and roses nose. Rosehip, Turkish delight and allspice palate. No hurry to drink the rest, there's plenty of time ahead.

July 15, 2021 - Might be showing its age. Sour cherry fruit with some tobacco notes. There is some bricking on the edges and the color was not vibrant.

June 5, 2021 - Earthy brick color. Clean but clearly well aged fruit driven nose with a nice earthy mushroom backdrop. Entry is clean and quite delicious. This is a good example of a lean, well aged Barolo.

November 10, 2019 - Lovely balance to this wine. The fruit has plum, dark cherry, tobacco. Medium bodied with a fine line of acidity that runs to a lengthy finish. I think this is at or close to peak drinking, not that it will fade any time soon.

August 27, 2017 - 14.5% alcohol, 100% Nebbiolo, aged 24 months in oak, 18 months in the bottle, imported by Saranty, White Plains, NY; long legs, inky red; nose of alcohol, black cherries; vinturied and served at 20 degrees C; taste is rich, complex, full bodied, nicely balanced alcohol/tannins/sweet (no sour); dryness/tannins at the back of the tongue; pleasant, medium long finish; an outstanding Piedmont wine, which can likely be cellared a while longer; pair with filet mignon
